CSFF: Lost Genre Guild

Song Stuck on the Brain: Angels We Have Heard on High - yep, still singing Christmas songs.

Today the CSFF is touring:

The Lost Genre Guild, is a group of Christian Speculative Fiction authors and fans that have banded together to help revive a dying form of fiction.

The Lost Genre Guild's mission is to raise the awareness and respect for Biblical
speculative fiction, and to encourage, educate and support the writers of such fiction.

All I can say is, thank goodness! As a fan of SciFi and Fantasy of all kinds, it's an exciting thing to see efforts being made to strengthen the genre. The site offers a ton of information, from a listing of what book are available in the genre along with author and book info; to book trailers, author interviews and story excerpts.

If you're a fan of Speculative Fiction, or curious to know more about it, than this is definitely a site to check out.

Good Dog!

Song Stuck on the Brain: Happy Birthday Jesus
This video was emailed to me and I was just blown away. This dog is SMART, at least smarter and better trained than most. It made me smile and remember my own dog, Jack. This was my first Christmas without him and I missed him a ton. But I know he's having a lot more fun playing fetch with Jesus than he would with me. :)

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas!

I hope today is filled with love, laughter, hugs and good cheer. More than that, I pray your holiday is full of Jesus and the gift He brought to us that night in Bethlehem.

I'm so grateful that He was willing to volunteer for such a tremendous journey. To take on a human body, live a difficult life, die a horrible death and conquer it, all in an effort to teach us how to live and find eternal hope. I'm thankful that Mary and Joseph accepted their calling as His earthly parents, despite their uncertainties. The responsibility that was their burden and joy at the same time, became their salvation in the end. I've often wondered if I could have been that brave - that strong. Then I remember, that we're all weak and human. Even Mary and Joseph. God's strength and grace grants us the ability to do what He calls us to do - no matter the size of the job. We just have to have enough faith to say 'yes.'

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. - Phillipians 4:13

So, here's my wish for all of us this season as we face a new year. May God grant us all the faith to trust in Him and say, YES.

God Bless,
A.

Top 10: Christmas Shoes

Christmas Shoes by Newsong is one of the few songs ever that can make me cry on hearing it - Every time. As soon as I hear, "If mommy meets Jesus tonight", I'm gone. It's just too sad and moving, and yet at the same time kind of uplifting. Kind of hard to explain, mostly I just love how it makes me feel. I know I'm weird. I accept it because I know I'm not alone. :)
This is the last of my Top 10 Favorite Christmas songs. There are so many other great ones. I'd love to hear your list. Until I do, I wish you all of your loved ones a very blessed and happy Christmas.
Remember, Jesus is the Reason for the Season.

Top 10: Gabriel's Message

Gabriel's Message by Sting. Can you tell yet that I have a penchant for the dramatic, emotionally stirring, sometimes even a little dark Christmas carol? I can't explain it. Maybe it's my Scorpio side coming through. Sting's song just makes me all tingly. It's just so unique - I love it.
