MY TAKE:
I Heart Bloomberg was a pleasant surprise. I didn't know quite what to expect from the book, and as much as I love Chick-lit, it's often all fun and fluff and not much substance. Which is perfectly fine if you're looking for a lighthearted read, but somehow you expect more from the CBA market. Is that fair? Probably not, but it seems to be the case regardless. However, I found that Carlson's book had a lot of heart as well as shopping. Four very different room mates with very different backgrounds working to find common ground may not seem new, but Carlson makes it FEEL new. The book was over before I wanted it to be, and was a perfect set up for the following books in the series. Books that I definitely plan to read.
