Anyone here a Twilight fan? I just finished book 1 and I've started New Moon. LOVED Twilight and tonight a bunch of us girls are headed to see the movie. Very excited about that. I hope it does the book justice.

The movie feels like a good way to kick off the holiday week. Wednesday evening will be packed with food prep and housework, but Thursday should be fun. Our family has been planning this menu for a month now, and despite all my recipe ideas, I think I'm the only one trying a new recipe. A friend from high school gave me his family's recipe for pumpernickel cornbread dressing. It looks great and I hear it's divine.

In addition to the dressing, I'm cooking the turkey, gravy and sauteed Brussels Sprouts. As a kid I would have died at the idea of Brussels for lunch, but now they're a favorite. Go figure.

Most people probably have standards they cook every year, but other than turkey, dressing and potatoes, we like to mix it up. Any one else have new recipes (or old favorites) they're cooking for Turkey day? Feel free to share them, I'd love to see how everyone else celebrates.
