National Prince Week Day 2 - Prince William and More

Welcome back to #NationalPrinceWeek

This week the cast of #DysfunctionJunction will be sharing all their favorite Prince related novels, movies and more. You don't want to miss a minute of this week long event.

I have Kianna Ravencamp here along with her best friend's Rissa, Alexa and Hope. Kianna, why don't you and the girls tell us the feature for today?

Kianna: I'd love to. The girls and I have been chatting for a while over who would be the best
#PrinceCharming to sweep us off our feet. Wouldn't you know we all have a different idea? I guess that's okay, as long as our prince finally comes. Sometimes I'm not sure that will ever happen, but a girl has dreams.

My favorite go to Prince, based on personality, temperament and overall soft-heart but strong in presence (at least that's how he seems), is Prince William of England. If he's how I see him in my head then I want my prince to be like him. That may seem like too obvious of a choice, but there's a reason so many women swoon over him. His public image is everything Cinderella's Prince Charming should be. Charitable and kind, romantic and loyal, strong and intelligent. Not too shabby to look at either, am I right? :) I don't mind that he's spoken for, because one day I'll find The One for me and he'll be all these things as well. MY perfect prince.

I'm sure my girls will have their own picks of Favorite Prince, but they can tell you about them later in the week. First, I want to tell you about some fun reads that are prince related.

The Mystery Prince by Mary Waibel

Tristan enjoys being in the shadows as Prince Rand's bodyguard. Similar in looks, the two often exchanged places in their youth, but he never expected the king to order him to impersonate the heir to the throne in order to win the hand of a princess.

Princess Zoe needs to find a husband. After a year of searching with no success, her father insists on hosting a masquerade ball for the eligible princes of the nine kingdoms. Not one prince piques her interest, until she meets the mysterious stranger who won't tell her his name.

When Tristan meets Zoe he finds the girl of his dreams. The only problem? She's a princess and he's impersonating a prince―a crime punishable by imprisonment and floggings.

Unable to tell Zoe his real name, he gives her a special navigation device. One that leads to the owner's true love. Will this magic device lead Zoe to Tristan, or will her true love forever remain a mystery prince?

Prince Incognito by Rachelle McCalla

A PRINCE WITH NO MEMORY
Injured in an attack on the royal motorcade and missing his memory, Alec has one person he can trust. Lillian Bardici, the woman who rescued him. Lily has a soft heart for any hurt creature, but her family has a bitter grudge against Lydia's ruling family-Alec's family. For once his memory returns, Alec knows the truth. He is Prince Alexander, and his family is in danger. All he wants is to find and help them...but now that Alec's found his purpose, will he lose Lily, who's under orders by her family to betray him?

And just for fun, because we all dream of finding our REAL LIFE prince charming...

If the Shoe Fits by Sandra Bricker

Julianne used to believe in fairy tales; she's been watching for Prince Charming to come charging in on his white steed ever since the day her mother read her Cinderella for the first time. But she's never come close to finding the perfect man-instead she's always tripping over her childhood best friend, Will. And who finds their Prince Charming on a 10-speed bicycle on the other side of the cul de sac? Well... Julianne does. Only she doesn't have a clue.
She and Will are attorneys now, and they've joined up in private practice in a beautiful Cincinnati office building that overlooks the Ohio River. And then one day Julianne is on her way to court, and runs right smack dab into Prince Charming. But when she looks again, all she finds is a metaphoric sign she is certain came straight from Heaven: The Prince's toolbox has fallen off the back of his truck, and a work boot along with it. What better way for God to grab the attention of a Cinderella-in-training than to show her a glass slipper...errrr, work boot?...waiting to be reunited with its owner?
So she sets out to track down the mysterious Prince Charming. He's the most gorgeous guy she's ever seen...and a caring animal rescuer, too. Surely he must be the soul mate God has prepared her for.
But, Julianne's prince is starting to look less and less charming all the time. No matter how she tries to romanticize him, he just keeps tumbling down off that dumb pedestal. And with the Bar Association dinner coming up that will honor her for her outstanding charity work over the year, Julianne wants so much for her friends and colleagues to see her with someone besides her best friend Will. To make matters worse, Prince Charming has no designs on wearing a penguin suit and attending a stuffy old dinner. With her pride pressing in on her like sticks from a cactus, Julianne sinks to the bottom of the proverbial barrel and actually offers to pay Paul to be her date.
Julianne is on a collision course with God's perfect plan for her life...if only she could open her eyes and see it before it's too late.

Rise and Shine by Sandra Bricker

Shannon Malone thought she'd found her happy ending when she married Edmund Ridgeway, but a diving accident on their honeymoon left her in a coma. Waking up to the news that she's thirty years old would have been daunting enough . . . but she also learns that Edmund has lost his interim battle with cancer and the world has marched on without her. Her gorgeous doctor, Daniel Petros, seems to know everything about her and becomes Shannon's tour guide into a whole new world of madness where reality television has taken over the planet and everyone's life appears to revolve around a tiny screen on their cell phones!
As Shannon struggles to navigate through the changes-both in the world and in her-she also must discern real memories from imagined ones. Did she really ever wear capris pants and entertain in her living room, or was that Laura Petrie from her favorite classic TV show? And where is her beloved dog, Freeway? Oh, wait! That was Jonathan and Jennifer Hart's dog, not hers.

Shannon's three elderly aunts flit through her life in true Sleeping Beauty style with her well-being always a priority. And Edmund's sister Millicent descends like the Evil Queen she is, trying to extract Shannon from any claim on the Ridgeway family fortune. When a tornado moves through town and Shannon is knocked unconscious, will Daniel's kiss awaken her once and for all?
Check back tomorrow to find out who Alexa Fehr's favorite prince is and more. And be sure to stop by author Mary Waibel's blog to see her selections for Prince Week too.

Sandra, I loved your books and the modern day take on the fairy tale. I would love to find my modern day 'prince' like Julianne and Shannon did. Thanks for stopping by. :)
